The nation picks their Lords again tonight, and if you believe who they select will make any difference in what Cain's legacy does, check out the link here. Then take some time to get deep in Scripture for a reality check. I read the fourth chapter of Ephesians during my devotional time this morning, and read it again tonight. Awesome, encouraging words about the striking contrast between the World and the Kingdom. http://www.alsmithfoundation.org/thedinner.html

Here's Ephesians 4.  In NIV and Wycliffe versions --- IOW the latest and earliest English language Bibles, for people to see and compare to judge for themselves charges of falsification -- aka are newer Bibles less truthful or merely an easier read in modern rather than medieval language- after all did God really transcribe the Bible in English?

Ephesians 4
Wycliffe Bible (WYC)

4 Therefore I bound for the Lord beseech you, that ye walk worthily in the calling, in which ye be called,
2 with all meekness and mildness, with patience supporting each other in charity [with patience supporting, or up-bearing, together in charity],
3 busy to keep unity of Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 One body and one Spirit, as ye be called in one hope of your calling;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 one God and Father of all, which is above all men, and by all things, and in us all.
7 But to each of us grace is given by the measure of the giving of Christ [after the measure of the giving of Christ];
8 for which thing he saith, He ascending on high, led captivity captive, he gave gifts to men.
9 But what is it, that he ascended up, no but that also he came down first into the lower parts of the earth? [Forsooth that he ascended, what is it, no but for he descended first into the lower parts of the earth?]
10 He it is that came down, and that ascended [up] on all heavens, that he should fill all things.
11 And he gave some apostles, some prophets, others evangelists, others shepherds and teachers,
12 to the full ending of saints, into the work of ministry, into [the] edification of Christ's body,
13 till we run all, into unity of faith and of knowing of God's Son, into a perfect man, after the measure of the age of the plenty of Christ; [till we run all, in unity of faith and of knowing of God's Son, into a perfect man, into the measure of age of the plenty of Christ;]
14 that we be not now little children, moving as waves, and be not borne about with each wind of teaching [and be bourne with all wind of teaching], in the waywardness of men, in subtle wit, to the deceiving of error.

New International Version (NIV)

Unity and Maturity in the Body of Christ

4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it[a] says:
“When he ascended on high, he took many captives
and gave gifts to his people.”[b]
9 (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions[c]? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

To me this reads of a story of many parties from high to low, perhaps even from different sides, all working togther for a grand plan truly from the heavan- as a Grand Kaleidoscope- an image that many people would remeber from the opening credits of the telivision show. Family Affair.
